3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday

Cincinnati native Brian Douglas has been on air with Q for 25 years, living out the dream he’s had for as long as he can remember – to live in his hometown and “work at one of the greatest radio stations in America!” When he’s in the studio, his MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone are never far away, and neither is his amazing partner Laura Powell!

Brian’s three kids are the loves of his life, although his involvement with charities and organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, WAVE Foundation and many others is close behind. Laura agrees – “The Light The Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society makes me cry every year,” she says. She and Brian both cite The Q102 Bosom Ball for Breast Cancer as one of their favorite station events and a great display of unity.

When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find Laura spending time at her local Kroger, T.J. Maxx and Kohl’s, and of course enjoying her beautiful family. Brian is an avid photographer, a certified scuba diver and loves heading down to The Banks for all the excitement happening at The Holy Grail, Crave, Moerlein Lager House and more!

Adam Lambert scoop

We were on the air Monday when I brought up the fact that I had spoken to Adam’s record company earlier and they had given me the scoop on his new single.

Someone here in Cincinnati jumped on Twitter and sent out a tweet about what I had said. Since then the story has made a ton of websites around the globe including USA Today.

From USA TODAY:

Adam Lambert recently Twittered that his single should be out next week, and Brian Douglas, music director at Cincinnati’s Hot AC station Q102 blogs that he’s been told it’s a song written by Pink and Swedish producer Max Martin.

“I spoke with Adam’s record company today and we will have a brand new song written by Pink and Max Martin,” Douglas wrote Monday. “I was told today we will have it by Monday at the latest but sometimes these things change.” (Douglas seems to be a big fan of Idol music — Daughtry’s No Surprise, Kelly Clarkson’s Already Gone and Kris Allen’s Live Like We’re Dying all are currently among the 10 most-played tracks on the Q102 playlist.)

Based on a recent Entertainment Weekly article, the single should be What Do You Want From Me, a song that didn’t make Pink’s Funhouse album. “It works on a relationship level, but I also relate to the sense of talking to the public,” Adam told EW. “Like, ‘This whole thing’s a little freaked out, but please have faith in me because I won’t disappoint you.’”
