Gallatin County Animal Shelter…

Dear Jeff and Jenn!

I have been a long time fan of Q102 since I was a teenager. I listen to your morning show every day on my way to work. I’ve always admired the fact that you are a local show and are always involved in local events. Supporting the community you live in is so important which leads me to the purpose of my email. I am a volunteer for the Gallatin County Animal Shelter in Sparta, KY. We are a rural shelter and have been no-kill for almost 2 years.

This year we have dealt with a hoarding situation and we’ve had several dogs hit by cars that have required expensive medical care. We also have 3 dogs at the shelter right now that are heartworm positive. Treatment for them will cost us well over $1,000.

We have been selected by Petco as one of 100 shelters to participate in a contest to win a $10,000 grant and all we have to do is vote every day. We only have to be in the top 10 to receive this grant money. Winning this contest would go a long way towards our never-ending medical expenses. I was wondering if you could ask your viewers to like our page on facebook (Friends of Gallatin Shelter) and from there was have the links setup to vote for us. I’ve also attached a link of a story Channel 9 news did on us last week.
