Send some Courage…

CancerFree Kids’ sendCOURAGE lion campaign kicks off nationally
on Giving Tuesday, November 27th

One Little Gift: Three Big Reasons to Give
Give Courage.
Give Hope.
Give Back.

(Cincinnati, OH) Novmeber 27th, 2012 – Today, CancerFree Kids’ sendCOURAGE.org website goes live and “Courage” the lion and other products officially go on sale. For just $20, “Courage” the lion is sent with a personalized note to someone who could use a little courage. In addition, for each lion ordered, CancerFree Kids will give another lion to a child recently diagnosed with cancer. All proceeds benefit CancerFree Kids Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance.

“Courage” the lion was created originally in 2004 by CancerFree Kids and is now one of the many items they provide to recently diagnosed children with cancer. After originally launching “Courage” for kids with cancer, they quickly realized everyone needs courage to face life’s many challenges and began offering the for purchase on their website.

“With the announcement of “Giving Tuesday,” (a grassroots effort that is launching the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year to encourage people to give back to their communities) there is no better time than the holidays to launch our sendCOURAGE campaign,” says Ellen Flannery Founder and Executirve Director of CancerFree Kids.

Everyone can use a little extra courage from time to time. Here are just a few reasons people send “COURAGE”:
To show suport for a child or adult going through an illness
To support a grieving friend
To support a friend who has lost a job
To suport a friend going through a divorce
To support someone who is moving far from home
To support our military men and women away at war
To encourage a friend taking on one of many of life’s challenges
