Easy Recipe: Shamrock Pretzel Bites
I’ve been on the look out for something cute to make for St. Patrick’s Day that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, is tasty and easy to make and lucky for me, I found just that.
These little Shamrock Pretzel bites are sure to be a hit with the kids or at a St. Patrick’s day party.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Hershey Kisses (how many you need depends on how many Shamrock Pretzel Bites you want to make)
- Small Pretzels
- Green M&M’s ( I found mine at Supreme Nut & Candy)
- Green Gel Icing (It’s a small tube made by Wilton)
I found this recipe here, but changed things around a little bit. Instead of baking the chocolate kisses on the pretzels, I microwaved them for 30 seconds over wax paper, then an additional 15 seconds after checking them. (I don’t do well baking things!)
You want the kisses to be melted but still able to hold their shape.
Immediately after removing the melted kisses on the pretzels from the microwave, place three green M&M’s on top, pressing down so the melted chocolate hardens around the M&M’s.
When they are cool, apply a small line of the green gel icing for the stem of the shamrock and enjoy!
