Jessica Alba attended the Ralph Lauren girls’ fall fashion show this week.

The stunning actress was accompanied by her two daughters Honor and Haven at the event held in Sagaponack in New York on Monday. Her girls embraced the theme by wearing matching Ralph Lauren nautical seersucker dresses and white Mary Jane shoes.

Jessica made a brief speech to welcome guests before the runway show started, and explained why she was eager to attend.

“I’m a fan of Ralph and I thought it would be fun to do something like this,” she revealed.

Jessica is already storing away some of her favorite designer pieces to hand over to her kids one day. However, she isn’t sure how long she can wait to pass them on.

“I’m quickly thinking that it really doesn’t matter. Whatever I have at the moment, they’re just going to have to like,” she laughed.

Jessica wasn’t the only famous mom to make an appearance. She was joined by Christie Brinkley, Tiffani Thiessen, Kelly Bensimon and Edie Falco who took their kids along for the day out at the Wölffer Estate Stables.

Legendary model Christie’s 15-year-old daughter Sailor is following in her fashion footsteps and has landed a campaign with Claire’s. Despite Christie’s success, she doubts the teenager will be interested in taking her advice.

“She can give me pointers on what to do and what not to do,” Sailor explained, before Christie jokingly interjected: “And she can not listen.”

As the fashion show kicked off, Mika’s hit Popular Song was played as young models took to the runway sporting velvet blazers, tweed suits, cable knit jumpers and vibrantly coloured denim.

David Lauren, executive vice president of global advertising, marketing and communications at Ralph Lauren Corp., insists his father Ralph has always taken children’s fashion seriously.

“It’s a takedown of our women’s Collection and Blue Label lines,” David explained. “My father has always wanted to dress children the way he would dress adults and it’s always been part of the magic of the brand.”
