Pharrell Williams has teamed up with Moncler again.
The musician designed a line of men’s jackets for the brand in 2009 and has now signed a deal to create a range of Moncler Lunettes sunglasses.
According to WWD, he will also front the label’s advertising campaign.
“He represents the very best of all that is contemporary, creative and international, the same characteristics that underpin the entire Moncler project and the Moncler Lunettes collection,” the chairman and chief executive officer, Remo Ruffini, told WWD.
According to the company, the shades will be “halfway between futurism and ’50s style”.
They will be presented in Paris on September 26, which also marks the opening of the new Moncler flagship store in the French capital.
It’s also during the Paris Silmo eyewear fair, which runs September 26-29.
The framed are made from titanium, with thick sides and a lightweight front.
It’s a model that can be worn by both men and women and the lenses, just like arms, are flexible and promise resistance.
Pharrell’s designs will be available at Moncler boutiques, on their website and at selected multi-brand stores and international opticians from the end of September.
The star is certainly no stranger to fashion and has label Billionaire Boys Club and more affordable sportswear line Ice Cream.
“You know what? It’s all about individuality. The things that set you apart, they’re what make you special,” he recently said about style.
