Bracey to replace Hunnam in Fifty Shades?

Charlie Hunnam could be replaced by Luke Bracey in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The 24-year-old actor is reportedly up for the role of Christian Grey in the movie directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The flick is an adaptation of E.L. James’ eponymous erotic novel and Charlie dropped out of the project last week.

“Luke is at the top of the list,” an insider told Us Weekly about the Australian star.

Luke is known for playing Trey Palmer on soap Home and Away and Leighton Meester’s love interest in 2011 romantic comedy Monte Carlo.

He isn’t the only male lead lined up for the part, as Jamie Dornan and Alexander Skarsgard are also reportedly in the running.

The female lead of Anastasia Steele will be portrayed by Dakota Johnson.

Charlie, 33, shocked film fans when he pulled out of the project on October 12 after only confirming his job in September.

The Sons of Anarchy star was said to be struggling with a jam-packed schedule before he decided to part ways.

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures and Focus Features said in a joint statement.
