Lauren Conrad loves hosting parties, saying it puts her in her “happy place”.
The former Hills star recently bought a multimillion dollar home in Laguna, California, with fiancé William Tell.
According to Lauren, having guests over is her favorite way of spending free time.
“I like entertaining, I like hanging out with my friends, I like having cocktails with them,” Lauren told People magazine, adding that she tries to be creative in making “healthy” drinks.
“I’m a fan of a low-calorie beverage. I like to be the host,” she added.
Although throwing a dinner party can be stressful, Lauren says she finds it therapeutic and fun. The 28-year-old says that despite spending the whole night on her feet, taking care of her friends makes her happy.
“I tend to be running around the whole time, which is so funny because everyone’s like, ‘Sit down, sit down.’ But that’s my happy place, like clearing plates with one hand and serving a drink with the other. I love being a busy host,” she said.
The fashion designer and William made a point of having date night at least once a week, as they both have very busy lives.
She and the musician try and keep their weekends free to spend quality time with one another.
“It’s just like any other couple with full-time jobs,” Lauren insisted. “You make date night and you have weekends, hopefully. Not [all] weekends, but some weekends. I’m really fortunate in that I get to do things that I love, so it doesn’t feel like work. I think if you’re doing something you love, it’s not a lot. You’re excited every day.”
