Lindsay Lohan credits Oprah Winfrey with being a “guiding light” in her life.
The actress filmed a reality show for the media mogul’s TV channel OWN after completing rehab last year.
Although Lindsay admits the process was very difficult, she is thankful to have made such a strong and supportive friend in the process.
“I speak to her almost every day, and she’s just…she’s been so amazing to me. Just, you know, for everything, even before the show was coming out,” Lindsay told Ellen DeGeneres during a March 28 appearance on her talk show.
“I mean, she’s one of the reasons why that’s such a big part of my life. She’s just been a really strong guiding light and force to me as a friend and someone that I admire.”
The Mean Girls star goes on to explain how anxious she felt before the show aired in early March. Because the hype around the show was growing so large, it made Lindsay extremely worried about what the public reaction would be like.
“I was getting really panicked, because I hadn’t really heard my name anywhere in so long, and I would turn on the TV, and it was right after the Oscars, so I thought I’d have a minute, like I thought it would kind of distract from the show,” she said. “But then I just kept hearing my name, and I started getting really, like, panicked about it. I just called her, and she was just talking me through it and everything.”
