David Arquette welcomed a son on Monday.
The 42-year-old Mile High actor has been dating journalist Christina McLarty on and off since 2011.
And a representative for the couple confirmed they are now parents to a healthy baby boy named Charlie West, who was delivered in Los Angeles on April 28.
“Mom, dad and baby are doing well,” David’s spokesperson told People magazine.
“They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time.”
David is already father to daughter Coco, nine, with ex-wife Courteney Cox.
The star spent a lot of quality time with Coco in recent months, as he took her with him to Puerto Rico while he filmed scenes for upcoming seasons of his TV show Cleaners.
David previously explained he felt it was important to do some extra bonding with his daughter during her final months as an only child.
“Whenever you get to do that you have to take them out of school for a few days, but it’s such a great bonding experience because she gets to see what we do on the set,” he revealed to People. “It’ll be a really good time.”
David also spoke of his thoughts on becoming a dad for the second time.
The star felt significantly less stressed about parenthood while Christina was pregnant with his son.
“I know I’ve done it once so there’s not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don’t know what to expect,” David said.
“Animals across the world have babies and they know how to take care of them instinctually. Us humans get so in our heads about it all but as soon as the baby comes it is just instinct.”
