Coco Rocha got to meet her idol at the American Ballet Theatre Gala.
The high fashion model joined a host of other famous faces, including Selena Gomez and Emmy Rossum, at the opening night of the Spring Gala held at New York’s The Metropolitan Opera House last night.
Tweeting about the event, Coco posted a photo of herself posing next to Carmen Dell’Orefice.
“I had the extreme honor of meeting my icon, the original supermodel, Carmen Dell’Orefice tonight. What a lady! (sic),” Coco captioned the photo.
Carmen is known within the fashion industry for being the oldest model and at 82 continues to land campaigns and runway work.
Dressed in a black jacket and white top, Carmen’s grey hair was swept back into a chic ponytail. Coco showed off her recent bobbed hairstyle and wore a red Lanvin gown accessorized with jewelry from her own line with Bauble Bar.
Fellow model Karlie Kloss looked stunning in a monochrome ensemble. She posted a picture of herself leaning on the shoulder of iconic designer Valentino Garavani, which she seemed thrilled about.
“Made it back to NYC just in time for the @AmericanBalletTheatre opening night gala. Last Monday night at the #MetGala…and this Monday night at the #MetropolitanOpera 😉 What a chic week! (sic),” Karlie wrote next to the stylish photo.
Aside from her fashion duties, 21-year-old Karlie has also recently enrolled in a class at Harvard, one of the most prestigious schools in the world.
She took time out from the runway to attend a class on the Business of Media, Entertainment and Sports course. She kept fans updated with her progress by posting a series of snaps and tweets from campus.
“I am very excited to be spending a few days here on the Harvard Campus in Cambridge for a class this week. I had to pay respect to Mr. John Harvard himself and rub his foot for good luck 😉 (sic),” she wrote on Instagram next to a snap of her perched by a statue of John Harvard.
