In reference to #2 above, I think Netflix truly DID make a huge mistake trying to separate the two. My provider, DISH Network, did the exact opposite. DISH bought Blockbuster, and now offers the Blockbuster Movie Pass to its customers. This is a multi-platform package that offers thousands and thousands of titles (movies, games, TV shows) either by mail, in-store exchange or streaming live!! I love how easy it is to use, and would have signed up even if I didn't work for DISH. I also got an additional 20 HD movie channels such as Epix and MGM. Now, all my bases are covered in one easy package, on one bill, with one company. Simpler is better!!
