This simple craft gets everybody outdoors to gather materials and enjoy the season. A modeling clay base makes the whole thing a breeze to put together. When it's done, the nest is a sweet home for your family's egg creations.
CRAFT MATERIALS:
Air-drying modeling clay (we recommend Crayola Model Magic for its pliability and ease of use)
Garden clippers
Twigs and yarn, straw, or other nest-building materials
Time needed: About 1 Hour
1. Shape the clay into a shallow bowl with thick sides. (Our nest measures about 5 inches across and 1 3/4 inches tall.)
2. Using the clippers, cut twigs on the diagonal, creating pointed ends (a parent's job). Insert the twigs at an angle into the nest's outer wall as shown, working your way around the nest's circumference.
3. Line the nest with the yarn or straw and press other nest-building materials into the clay where desired. Let it dry overnight.
Leaf-printed Easter eggs
Place interesting leaves on hard-boiled eggs. Put the egg and leaves in a stocking to keep the leaves in place, then secure with a rubber band. Experiment with natural dyes such as onions, tea leaves, and beets. Allow the eggs to dry before carefully removing the stocking.

What you'll need:
Hard boiled eggs
Acrylic craft paints in the colors of your choice
Household sponge
Paper towel
Small bowl of water
Egg holder or empty egg carton
How to make it:
Soak a household sponge in water, then ring it out completely. Cut the sponge into several different pieces, enough so that you have one for each color.
Using a paper plate as a palette, squeeze out small amounts of several different colors of paint.
Place an empty egg carton upside down so that you can rest your eggs on it to dry once painted.
Hold an egg in your fingers, and with your other hand, dab a sponge into desired paint color.
Dab the sponge onto a piece of paper towel. The object is to remove the excess paint, but not completely dry it out.
Now dab the sponge directly onto your egg, using any type of random pattern you like. Paint as much of the egg as you can and place it down to dry.
Repeat steps four to six for each egg, using different colors.
For a colored background with white sponge marks, simply paint the egg a solid color with a paint brush or with one of your sponges. When dry, sponge on a pattern with white paint.
When one side has dried, complete the other side and allow that to dry as well.
Place eggs into an egg holder, or fill a bowl with Easter grass and arrange the eggs atop the grass.

Chicago - Walgreen Co. is giving a small dose of relief to some unemployed Americans by offering free visits to its in-store clinics to customers who no longer have jobs or health insurance.
The offer, which comes more than a year into the recession, only applies to adults who lose their jobs on or after March 31. Spouses, domestic partners and children also qualify if they do not have their own health insurance.
The plan only applies to someone who has already paid for a visit to one of the Take Care clinics. A typical visit to one of the clinics, which treat minor ailments such as colds, usually costs or more for patients with no insurance.
Take Care Health Systems, which is owned by Walgreen, says roughly 1.25 million people have visited the clinics since they opened more than three years ago.

It's called the Conficker worm, and it has poisened millions of personal computers. Word on the street is that the infection will ramp up Wednesday, April 1, 2009.
One scary thing about Conficker is that it spreads without human involvement, moving from PC to PC by exploiting a security hole in Microsoft Corp.'s Windows operating system. The hole was fixed in October, but if your computer doesn't get automatic updates from Microsoft, you could be vulnerable.
Lots of computer worms disable antivirus software outright, which can be a tip-off that something is wrong. But Conficker doesn't do that. Instead, Conficker blocks infected PCs from accessing the antivirus vendors' and Microsoft's Web sites, so victims won't get automatic updates and can't download the Conficker removal tools that those companies have developed.
So see what Web sites you can visit. If you can navigate the Internet freely except for sites owned by Microsoft or antivirus vendors such as Symantec Corp., McAfee Inc. or F-Secure Corp., your PC might have Conficker or a similar bug.
Fixing the problem gets a little trickier.
The best remedy is to have a friend — whose computer is not infected — download a removal tool from Microsoft or one of the antivirus vendors. Then that person should e-mail the tool to you.
A list of the free Conficker removal programs is available on the Web site of the Conficker Working Group, an alliance of companies fighting the worm. The removal programs will take care of themselves, for the most part, scanning your system and purging the worm.
