Lachey to host new singing show
Eight a cappella groups will compete on NBC's 'Sing-Off' in December

Nick Lachey, who led the Cincinnati choir to victory on NBC's "Clash of the Choirs" in 2007, will host "The Sing-Off," an a cappella singing competition series on the same network in December.
Eight singing groups competing for a $100,000 prize and an Epic Records/Sony recording contract will perform on NBC from 8 to 10 p.m. Dec. 14-15 (the shows are taped).

Viewers will vote during a live show Wed., Dec. 16 for the three groups advancing to the finals, which will be broadcast live Mon., Dec. 21 from 8 to 10 p.m.
The eight a cappella groups are the Beelzebubs from Boston, Mass.; Noteworthy from Provo, Utah; Face from Boulder, Col.; Maxx Factor from Baltimore, Md.; Nota from San Juan Puerto, Rico; The SoCals from Los Angeles, Calif.; Solo from Omaha, Neb.; and Voices of Lee from Cleveland, Tenn.
