Kroger recalls ground beef
Beef was supplied by JBS Swift Beef Co. may be contaminated with E. coli

Kroger is notifying customers that an expanded recall of JBS Swift Beef Co. meat includes Kroger meat labeled Beef Ground Store Made Ground Beef Trimmings because the product may be contaminated with E. coli.
The UPC codes affected are 21165300000, 21165310000, 21165320000 and 21165330000.
Packages with "sell by" dates of April 27 to June 1 are included in the recall.
Kroger is notifying customers with register receipt messages and telephone and e-mail recall alerts. Those alerts occur only if customers purchased a recalled item using their shopper's card.
The products are in foam tray packages wrapped in clear cellophane.
The recall affects Kroger customers in the following areas: Greater Cincinnati, including Dayton, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana; Greater Memphis, Tenn.; Arkansas, Mississippi; Indiana (except southwestern Indiana and Evansville); Illinois; and eastern Missouri.
Other products that are affected are BF Grnd ST FP RW (Greater Memphis, Tenn., Arkansas and Mississippi) and Store Trim Ground Beef 1#, Store Trim Ground Beef 2# and Store Trim Family Pack (Indiana, Illinois and eastern Missouri).
Customers can return the product for a refund.
