STAFF REPORT

Actor Mario Lopez will visit Cincinnati and Columbus on Thursday to promote his syndicated entertainment news show, "Extra."

The 35-year-old Lopez, who took over as the show's host last fall, was set to be the Reds' honorary captain, delivering the lineup card to umpires before the team's game against the Diamondbacks at 12:35 p.m.

He'll also participate in the "Skyline Shuffle" contest during the third inning, according to the team.

Since placing second on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2006, Lopez has hosted MTV's "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew," starred in the Broadway revival of "A Chorus Line," appeared on "Nip/Tuck" and written "Mario Lopez’s Knockout Fitness."

People magazine named Lopez 2008's Hottest Bachelor.
