Four years into his on-air career, one of JonJon’s favorite things to do is take listeners’ requests – even prayer requests: “Just to be funny one night, I told a woman who called in that I was only taking prayer requests. I didn’t think she’d believe me, but she said, ‘Oh, okay…. Well, thank you for my mom, my dad and forgive me for this sin, but can I hear Rihanna’s S&M? Amen.’”
The Newport native also loves working in radio for the opportunities to give back to the community. One of his favorites is co-hosting the Redwood Express to help raise thousands of dollars toward providing for individuals with disabilities. JonJon’s always been in love with music – even at 12-years-old he wanted to become someone who could help people enjoy listening to it even more.
Now JonJon’s living the dream in the Q studio – never without his phone and charger (“When emails and Facebook messages start flying in, I can go through three batteries a night!”), and plenty of quarters for vending machine dinners.

A prom dress and tux made from duct tape might help pay for two students’ college tuition.
Senior Amber Squires and her prom date Kody Britt wore a matching ensemble made entirely of duct tape to Thursday night’s Green Sea Floyd High School prom.
The idea started in her 9th grade art class, when Squires’ art teacher Miss Hull mentioned the Stuck at Prom duct tape scholarship contest. The contest awards $5,000 to the best duct tape outfit, factoring in workmanship, originality, accessories and use of color. The school that hosted the prom also gets the same amount. The contest runs from March until June and winners are announced in May.
Three years later when her senior year rolled around, Squires remembered the contest while she was out shopping for prom dresses.
“I thought ‘Senior year, I’ll remember that forever and it’ll be like no other,’” she told ABC News.
Once she decided to enter the contest, she checked with her cousin, Britt, to make sure he was okay with the idea. She told him “you’ve gotta wear your duct tape suit.” After a little hesitation, he agreed.
She started designing the dress three months in advance. Squires,18, knew how she wanted the dress to look but didn’t draw anything in advance. Instead, she went to the store and chose the colors she liked the most.

Do I smell a remix album?!
I’m sure this was covered at some point in “Marriage Proposal 101″…
To recap though… the ocean always wins.
At least she said ‘yes’??
Justin Bieber was welcomed by thousands of “booo’s” at London’s O2 Arena last night.
Turns out, he made fans wait for two hours before he showed up on stage…allegedly.
Bieber blamed technical issues for his late arrival—he insists he was only 40 minutes late.
Looks like he was the bigger person though…
Immediately after the show he hopped on his Twitter account to apologize to all of his fans.
We all have those couple of hours to kill on a Sunday night where Facebook & YouTube become our best friends.

‘D-bag’ – understood across all languages.
They’re calling it the new Gangnam Style!
A new internet sensation & it will only take you :30 seconds to make a video & get in on it!
Here’s how it works:
- Get a group of people together.
- Have one person dance/shake/act weird for the first :15 seconds of the song “Harlem Shake” by Baauer.
- Then…when the chorus kicks in on the song…every person in the video must lose their minds!
Examples:
Had a great time with some Xavier University students over the weekend at their annual Dance Marathon!
Thanks to everyone who helped raise over $3000 for Children’s Hospital apart of The Children’s Miracle Network.
Plus, the dance moves I witnessed…life-changing! : )
