Xavier moves up to No. 7
Musketeers up from 10th in last week's AP Poll

The Xavier Musketeers, who improved to 9-0 with Saturday's win against UC in the Crosstown Shootout, moved up to No. 7 in both the Associated Press Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, which were released Monday.
XU moved up from 10th in last week's AP Poll and improved from ninth to a tie with Gonzaga for the seventh spot in the ESPN/USA Today poll.
Xavier's ranking of seventh in the AP Poll ties the school record for highest ranking in the poll. The Muskies were ranked No. 7 in the December 7, 1997 poll.
Xavier is off to the second-best start in school history. The Musketeers can tie the school record 10-0 start of the 1996-97 season with a win on Saturday against No. 6 Duke.
The Musketeers meet the Blue Devils in a nationally televised broadcast (on CBS) at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
