You've heard her song - now remember her name!

Angel Taylor, born March 20, 1988, is a pop singer-songwriter whose debut album, Love Travels, was released March 31, 2009, on iTunes by Aware/Columbia Records. Taylor’s song “Make Me Believe” was the iTunes single of the week in March 2009.

The California native is one of five sisters, including Ebony Taylor who appeared on the television show America’s Next Top Model: Cycle 5. The five Taylors always had to share rooms growing up, but at age 20, Angel was able to purchase a house so everyone in her family could have their very own room.
Becoming a star was never one of Taylor’s goals, but it happened nonetheless when Taylor recorded a few songs to hand out as Christmas gifts to her family and friends. An unknown e-mail to producer Mikal Blue ended up getting Angel an audition at Revolver Studios, which resulted in her first cell phone, her first flight and, oh yeah, a contract with Aware/Columbia Records.

Taylor has been featured as VH1’s “You Outta Know: Artists On the Rise in 2010 and has already performed with several famous artists including: Kate Voegele, Bratt Dennen, Gavin DeGraw, Brandi Carlile, Sugar Ray and more.

Her song “Like You Do” was featured on the hit show One Tree Hill, 90210 and also on VH1’s Tough Love.

The 12 songs on Taylor’s “Love Travels” are stories that people all over the world can relate to. “Anyone who has ever wanted to be loved very deeply by someone, but hasn’t, will totally be able to grab hold of these songs,” says Taylor. “That’s what this album is about – wanting it so bad, not having it, and wondering why … it’s a lot of questions.”

It’s hard not to fall in love with Taylor’s earnest lyrics and pure voice. The piano ballad and incredible vocals in the song “Lightning Strikes” highlights Taylor’s talent perfectly. “I’ve always felt like love is like lightening,” she says, “it’s big and loud, and something crazy happens when it hits. It’s almost scary, but it’s thrilling at the same time.”
