Far East Movement can sum up their sound and lifestyle in two words: "Free Wired," so it's only appropriate they chose those words to name their debut studio album.
Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman make up Far East Movement -- a blend of hip-hop, pop, electronic and dance music. Their lifestyle

involves being constantly plugged in electronically so they can interact with fans, keeping them connected and up-to-date. Of course partying is also a big part of Far East Movement, and did we mention their style? They always look fashionable by wearing shades, skinny ties, shiny blazers and hip sneakers.
Far East Movement has already been on two world tours (with Lady Gaga and N.E.R.D), had numerous song placements on television and film, plus a number-one song on Los Angeles radio stations -- all before releasing their first album.
The band's first single “Girls on the Dancefloor” is an upbeat dance anthem that earned them attention, but they didn’t experience huge success until the release of their single “Like a G6.”
“Like a G6” was put together in two hours with Los Angeles producers The Cataracs and features another up-and-coming artist DEV.
Their latest single “Rocketeer” features One Republic singer Ryan Tedder on vocals and piano and has been given a lot of air time and praise. Check the video out below:
It was co-written by singer/songwriter Bruno Mars.
Far East Movement is everywhere – they are on Facebook and Twitter, they have a weekly music show on cherrytreeradio.com and they blog on their website. Songs by Far East Movement are on a wide variety of television shows, from CSI to Gossip Girl and even on the blockbuster movie “Fast and Furious.”
Their first studio album was released in fall 2010 on Interscope/Cherrytree Records and they are currently on another worldwide tour. Find out more Far East Movement on their website by clicking here.
