Christina Perri, singer of well known tracks such as “Jar of Hearts,” and “Arms,” fell in love with Twilight after she read the books. Now her song “A Thousand Years” is on the “Breaking Dawn- Part 1” soundtrack and she couldn’t be more excited! The soundtrack will be released on November 10, prior to the movie coming out on November 18.
Not too unfamiliar to tattoos, Christina Perri spontaneously decided to get a Twilight-inspired tattoo while on a trip in Portland, where the first movie was filmed. She got the tattoo on her wrist.
"It's right here," she said. "So it says 'bitten,' and if you're a Twi-hard like me, you would know it's in the font of the books, and I basically got this tattoo right when I read the books and became totally obsessed with the series. It's my most dorky moment."
Thanks to her new tattoo, Christina now feels like she is a part of the Twilight “club.”
"Well, I liked it because I felt like instead of anything real graphic, it just implies I've been bitten by the series," she explained.
Her new single, “A Thousand Years” found on the soundtrack is a tune about a pure, timeless love written for Edward and Bella.
“I feel so honored to be a part of the last movie and the last two soundtracks and it just kind of feels really epic because we’ve been waiting all this time from the other three movies to get to the wedding and to get the romance,” Perri explained on a short MTV documentary. “To be a part of that feels even cooler.”
