Have you ever wondered just what went into the food prep for your wedding day? Well, Jon and I got to experience it first-hand. Well, I did. Jon ate. 😂
Vonderhaar’s Catering was nice enough to let Jon and I wash up and try to make some of the items on our wedding menu: Grilled Margarita Pizza Bites, Grilled Seasoned Asparagus and Banana’s Foster.
If you could have seen the size of this kitchen! Just WOW! Chef Matt was telling us that for some of the hors d’oeuvres, the chefs are making 400 at a time, all handmade, hand cut, etc! There’s so much that goes into all the prep work and actual cooking time. All I have to say is that I am thankful Vonderhaar’s Catering is taking the reins on that!
We got to meet lots of the staff that will be helping prep and serve food at our wedding. Even before getting the behind the scenes experience and meeting the chefs, I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about the catering details. Vonderhaar’s is handling it all! And it’s a good thing — because if you tasted my food compared to Chef Matt’s, my food would be thrown out on the spot. LOL. Definitely leaving that to the professionals!
