Bengals Preseason Finale at Paul Brown Stadium

onthesidelines_blog

Really excited to add football blogs this season! They will be out weekly for Bengals fans—and first we start with the last game of the preseason.

Regular season is around the corner two weeks from Sunday, but the Bengals have one last dress rehearsal coming up. It’s a big one for the club, because it’s the first game for Joe Burrow since his injury in 2020.

Head Coach Zac Taylor announced on Tuesday quarterback Joe Burrow would get limited snaps in the preseason finale vs. the Dolphins on Sunday.

I will admit…no preseason prediction when it comes to the score, but my weekly regular season predictions will be out every week prior to kickoff – really looking forward to the season and maybe, just maybe, this club will surprise people in 2021.

My favorite story of the week comes from The Athletic’s Jay Morrison

Podcast episode of the week – Ready to Start Edition from Dan Hoard.

Player of the week is CJ Uzomah – he is the team’s biggest hype man and always brings the laughs on social media and player interviews. Uzomah is coming off an Achilles injury and is good to go for the 2021 season – felt he and Joe Burrow were starting to really connect on the field prior to the injury too – should be fun to watch this season.

NFL Sunday’s are almost back sports fans!

I’ll be back next week with a look ahead to the 2021 season – Make sure you’re following along over on Twitter 🙂

Let’s go Bengals!
