Today on the show we were joined by Kurt from Freestore Foodbank and Jamie from Gold Star Chili!

Did you know this Thursday is National Chili Day?!

Yup… It sure is! And Gold Star is giving back in a BIG way! 🙂

This Thursday, for every regular 3-Way purchased, Gold Star will make a donation to the Freestore Foodbank Power Pack program to help fight childhood hunger in our communities.

One in six neighbors in our Tri-State area is at risk of hunger, and over 80,000 of them are kids.

This is why Power Packs are so important. They are sent out each Friday during the school year to ensure kids have something to eat on the weekends. Each Power Pack contains nearly a dozen food items, which are shelf-stable and easy to prepare. Over 5,000 children in more than 108 participating schools receive Power Packs from Freestore Foodbank each week.

Last year, $10,000 was raised on National Chili Day which helped feed over 2,000 kids in our local communities. With your help, this year, they hope to feed thousands more.

So, make sure you stop by your local Gold Star Chili this Thursday for lunch and/or dinner and help feed the hungry! ❤😊
