Every week I am blown away by all the good people are doing in our community.
Today on the show I was joined by Sarah and Mark Johnston – A power couple here in Cincinnati that founded their very own nonprofit called Free Throws for Kids!
Every year, they have one HUGE free throw fundraising event. The money raised goes towards surprising over 800 kids and families throughout the year living at Ronald McDonald House. The care packages include comfort items, a journal and gift cards for fuel, food and the hospital cafeteria.
The generosity doesn’t stop there! They also donate $1,500 each month to the Ronald McDonald House for salad bar food (they are the ones that had the salad bar built, too!). It is very important to them that each weekday, over 80 families have healthier eating options.
So… Let’s talk about their big event, Free Throws for Kids, happening April 6 at Lakota West High School’s gymnasium!
This event is fun, kid-friendly and lighthearted! You do not need to be a pro basketball player to participate 🙂
Each team consists of 10-12 people. Together as a team you must shoot 500 free throws.
To sign up as a team captain, CLICK HERE! They really need some captains to get on board a put a team together!

I was truly enjoyed today’s show. Thank you so much, Mark and Sarah, for a difference ❤
