Today on Give Back Tuesday I was joined by Jason, Bill “Gumby” and Ali from the Cincinnati Fire Museum!
Gumby is a retired firefighter and Jason is a current firefighter – I could have talked to these two for hours! I was blown away by their passion for Cincinnati’s rich history, their love of teaching the community about fire safety and their goofy sense of humor.
Did you know Cincinnati had its very own fire museum?! Pretty cool, right? This museum is home for many artifacts. It is located at 315 West Court Street and is always open for tours, girl/boy scout visits and birthday parties! …YUP! They do it all 🙂
And get this – anyone can volunteer to help out at the museum! You do not have to be a firefighter to do so.
Coming up next Saturday, October 6, the Cincinnati Fire Museum is hosting the Gold Star Chili Fest from noon to midnight at 315 West Court Street! Proceeds from chili fest will go towards renovating the fire museum. If you are unable to attend chili fest but would like to make a monetary donation, click here <3
There will be several food trucks available with chili incorporated in at least one item on their menu…. besides the dessert trucks of course 😉
There will also be a chili cook off at this event! If you have a great recipe you’d like to show off register here!
Thank you so much Gumby, Ali and Jason for hosting Give Back Tuesday today!
