I had way too much fun today with Bethany and Kelly from The HallieStrong Foundation!
They are best friends, cancer survivors, and champions.
And they are NOT slowing down anytime soon… 🙂
They are making a huge difference in our community by handing out “Happy Socks” to cancer patients both locally and nationally!
Hallie is the daughter of the founders, Kevin & Bethany.
They were 16 weeks pregnant with their first child, Hallie, when Bethany was diagnosed with a very aggressive & rare form of cancer called Small Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix (sccc). Bethany delivered Hallie via c-section at 19 weeks on November 3rd but she was too tiny to take on this world for long and sadly went to Heaven shortly thereafter.
While going through treatments, Bethany often wore mismatched socks to the hospital.
The nurses got a kick out of it!
After her mom posted a picture of her mismatched socks on social media, she started to receive tons of socks in the mail!
So, Bethany thought, why not collect socks and donate them to others that are going through treatment?
And she did just that.
What a wonderful way to spread hope and warmth to those fighting cancer. ❤
The crazier the socks, the better! 😜
Coming up this October, it’s “SOCK-TOBER”!
Help Bethany and Kelly collect as many pairs of socks as possible before the holiday season!
