Today on the show we were joined by Dawn from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Cincinnati!
Dawn became a member of the LLS team years ago after her daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with Leukemia at a very young age. After two years of treatment, Hannah came out on top! She beat cancer and is stronger than ever 🙂
Among many others, Leukemia and Lymphoma are a type of blood cancer. While some forms are more common in children, unfortunately, it effects adults as well.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has raised millions of dollars in the fight against blood cancer. Through fundraising events and generous monetary donations, they are able to fund research, provide emotional and financial support and educate those in need.
Coming up next week, on October 11th, they will be hosting their Annual Light the Night walk at Yeatmans Cove! The walk is a community celebration of music, entertainment, food, and camaraderie where friends, family, and co-workers gather to celebrate their fundraising success and demonstrate their support in the fight against cancer.

Also, try to find time in your day to donate blood – You could save a life. LLS has a partnership with Hoxworth Blood Center.
Thank you, Dawn, for sharing your story with us on Give Back Tuesday!
