I had such a fun time today with Tiffany Hoover from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Coming up this Thursday night at Yeatman’s Cove, LLS will host their LARGEST fundraising event of the year!
Family, friends and co-workers gather together to celebrate, honor or remember those touched by cancer. Registration is free, but walkers are encouraged to raise funds to support the mission. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening experiences filled with music, fireworks and empowering ceremonies honoring survivors and remembering those we have lost.
Walkers carry illuminated lanterns of different colors. White balloons are carried by survivors, red by supporters, and gold balloons are carried by those walking in memory of a loved one they lost.
Please join them and nearly 1 million others in the 140 walks across North America. The Light The Night Walk brings light to the darkness of cancer by funding lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer.
And guess what?!
The Light the Night Walk will happen right around the same time as the BLINK parade Thursday night!
YUP! You’ll be able to see the parade crossing the Roebling Bridge, and those on the bridge will be able to see the gorgeous, illuminating lanterns. ❤
