Radio is in Mollie Watson’s blood. “My mom was a radio personality a little over 20 years ago in Nashville,” she says. “She would always tell me I’d end up in the broadcasting business! I interned for Q102 in promotions and found myself sticking around late at night to watch the jocks on air. I was absolutely fascinated and obsessed – I just knew it was my calling.”
For Mollie, that calling is more than just sitting in the studio and playing some songs. Whether she’s taking a literal leap of faith going skydiving for the Aubrey Rose Foundation or ballroom dancing lessons for another charity event, Mollie’s greatest reward is meeting listeners and getting to know them and their stories. Luckily she gets to do that every day as she takes requests from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
When she’s not in the studio (which is rare, she admits), Mollie loves to read, play golf, bake and work out. She also spends a significant amount of time imagining herself as a part of Taylor Swift’s squad.
