Give Back Tuesday: Rob’s Kids 7/10

Today’s Give Back Tuesday segment was very touching, fun and eye-opening.

I was blown away by the strength these women possess.

Emma, Stephanie and Jordan were kind enough to come in and share their stories and talk about their nonprofit, Rob’s Kids.

Rob’s Kids is an organization that is committed to making a difference in the lives of children who struggle with Depression and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. They provide funding and sponsorship to psychiatric professionals, along with resources and education to families, with the goal of providing a safe place, where kids can find a home away from home.

Emma’s older sister, Sam, was the inspiration behind Rob’s Kids. Sam became ill after her Dad, Rob, died by suicide. She was later diagnosed with Depression and PTSD. She spent time in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital which is where she received treatment that turned her life around. Sam discovered that there are children that are worse off than her. She was determined to get better so that she could help other kids like her.

There are lots of events coming up with Rob’s Kids and they would love for you to join in on the fun!

One event they hold near and dear to their hearts is the Christmas in July Claus for a Cause Event!

It will be held on July 25th from 6-8pm at Colonial Cottage Inn in Northern Kentucky! Every year they collect new toys for children and teens in the Division of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital! They will be collecting donations through the end of November then delivering them to the patients for Christmas! Doesn’t that make your heart smile? If you would like to donate you can contact Stephanie 🙂 or drop it off at Colonial Cottage Inn!
