We’ve found our future home.
We decided on the Fischer Homes Blair model. As soon as we walked in, we just felt like we were home. (Missed it? See the video here.)
One of the biggest selling factors for me was how the island was so open to the living room. I know I’m jumping way ahead, but for me I envision my little ones, along with my mom and Jon’s mom, making Christmas cookies while watching Christmas movies…lol. Corny, I know, but definitely one of the reasons for wanting an open concept.
Jon loved that the rec room was basically an included man cave! So, we will still have our unfinished basement for additional storage, but we have the option to finish it in the future if we want to!
The Blair is so spacious for entertaining and growing our family. Oh, and TONS of storage! After being in an apartment for seven years, lots of storage made us do backflips! 😂 The Fischer Sales Counselor made touring the models so easy and fun. The whole process was so helpful in envisioning what our new home, and lifestyle, would be like!
Once we found our location and our floorplan, we had to find our land. We drove around checking multiple lots that were available, but what made us fall in love with the one we chose were three things:
- The awesome staff at Fischer Homes told us how our home would sit on the land, so we were able to picture the front yard, side yard and backyard.
- We have a nice sized backyard we can eventually fence in, and I can mow and get a sun tan, lol. ☀️
- The view from our family room and master helped sell the lot as well 😊
After touring Fischer’s beautiful model homes, I got so many ideas I can now take to the design center. I’ve been getting so excited for that part, and I can’t believe it’s nearly here!
Jon already knows I will have my Pinterest page up and ready with cabinet ideas, countertop ideas, paint, flooring, etc. Can you tell I’m excited for this next step?! We’ll give you a peek into our experience, so stay tuned!
